Message from President
We, Newa: Pucha: is a non-profit social organisation, formed through an online social networking facebook group “Facebook Newar Community (FBNC)” with the primary motive to help each other and build a better society to live in.
Initially, this group was intended to help flood victims in ……….. and gradually extended the works in preserving the nepalbhasa culture, language and society of the Nation. Later on, the group was expanded while helping the earthquake victims that hit wide in central Nepal on 12th Baisakh 2072BS.
The group then, by registering under Social Welfare Council as a social organisation with the objectives of social works in the field of Child Education and Women Empowerment and the preservation and development of National Cultures, Languages and the Societies of Nepal, is now actively working on its objectives.
The name ‘Newa: Pucha:’ was coined since the word ‘Facebook’ is patented by Facebook Inc. and hence the name ‘Facebook Newar Community’ could not be used for registration.

‘भाषा म्वाषा जाति म्वाइ जाति म्वाषा राष्ट्र म्वाइ’ It’s a proverb said by Great leader Sankhadhar Sakhwa which means if the language of any ethenic community is preserved then the country will be preserved. With this though Newa: Pucha: was formed as a non-profitable organization whose main aim is to preserve the Newari cultural and language. As the language is being danger in the today’s situation so for saving its language, culture and as well as social work Newa: Pucha was established.
